Have you ever gone looking through the high-definition channels on your fancy television, and just really want to want some Ghostbuster’s II, but can’t find it on any of your other channels? Well Sony has entered into the television market, ushering in the Sony Movie Channel. Taking its place nestled snugly beside DISH Platinum, DIRECTV HD, and AT&T U-Verse, watchers can catch over 3,500 different movies, now bein’ afraid of ghosts will be the least of your concerns.

Overseeing the new film charge is Superna Kaile, who has also had a hand in marketing and managing other companies such as GSN, FEARnet, and even upcoming 3D channels for Discovery and IMAX. “Superna has played an integral role in the growth of our international channels business and we’ll continue to count on her expertise in the management of Sony Movie Channel,” said Andy Kaplan, president, networks, Sony Pictures Television. “I’m thrilled to broaden her responsibilities as her clear vision for the network makes her the ideal candidate to lead SPT in this new direction.”
