Logitech Gives Us A Spiffy New Gaming Headset

I hate having to replace batteries.  I also hate cords – with a burning passion.  In short, I’m full of hate.  Dark side aside, this new Logitech wireless headset is something I can get behind. Its design isn’t quite that futuristic look I crave, but its features make up for it.  Read on for more.

The new Wireless Headset F540 will work out-of-the-box with your Xbox 360 and your PS3 – a big plus for being able to avoid wires and still have good sound piped into your ears.  It also includes a wireless base station with three analog audio inputs so you can push other audio sources to the cans without having to fiddle with more cords.  You can even avoid having to lift your lazy rump off the couch to change sources, as the controls for this, independent voice & game volume, and mic mute are all on the headset.  Pretty handy, eh?  The mic also has a red LED indicator to show when you’re muted…to help avoid those awkward moments where you say something you never intended your fellow gamers to hear.

The F540 will be available in October for a suggested retail price of $149.99.
