[So perhaps I flubbed up the details a wee bit last night in explaining what the actual problem was with the delay, and as such, I have to apologize. Thankfully, System 3 was very kind and able to point me – and all of you as well – in the right direction.
Along with yesterday’s basketball jones, another title has come out the woodworks to take a step back, rethinking when they should be released. Luckily, this one actually has a release date planned only a week after it’s original planned time. With System 3’s Ferrari: The Race Experience originally scheduled for a September 29th release, the game has now been pushed back a week to October 6th.
The cause of the delay is actually a simple one: a screwup with coding. Being that the game has no official pressed copy, the game comes solely to the PSN, with a redeemable voucher for people that own the original Ferrari. However, that voucher never showed up, and you can’t have you prize pony waiting at the stable. So to fix the error, System is pushing back a week, to guarantee that everything will run smooth on launch. The voucher in question, is a discount for all owners of the original game. So if you bought the first game, you now just got the second game for an already reduced price.
