Apple is a well oil engine that plans releases like a family planning a vacation. Methodical! Users of most Apple products can expect a major OS or device upgrade at the least, and often times the most, once a year. Basically, let me learn about all the problems, if any (as Apple would say), then design around that to bring a product to the consumer that will still be relevant for at least two years. On the other hand, Android releases updates more frequently, addressing problems and expanding features throughout the year.
Now in no way am I saying one does it better than the other – it seems like both models are working. However, I wonder if Apple consumers would like to see more major OS updates like Android? And for that thought, would Android owners rather see fewer updates per year that’s available, when it’s announced, to all devices. Hit up our comments and let us know!
