Though these games may differ in style, they are all fun to play.
Castle Crashers is a delight. It is funny and vibrant. It radiates style and quality. It is easy to appreciate. And it is also fun to play. I would recommend it to anyone. The idea of playing it online with a group of friends excites me. I like that it keeps things simple. This side scrolling 2D is reminiscent of River City Ransom, Double Dragon and more recently Scott Pilgrim VS. The World. I like simple games like this because they focus on what counts. This game feels like a classic, only it is brand spanking new. The artistic style counts in its favor and I am glad that they did not overdo it with the graphics. This one is too cool for that.
Vanquish is action packed. It is an orgy of explosions. It is a futuristic robot fest packed to the brim with bullets. Taking out the big baddie at the end of it is reminiscent of picking the wings off of a fly. Except it’s a lot more satisfying. This particular fly is bigger than you, and is trying to kill you, and your friends. The graphics are sweet. Explosions are fun to watch. And, your character’s suit is a masterpiece in and of itself. This is one you won’t want to put down. Don’t skip the training. And don’t give up after the first few tries. It is worth it.
R.U.S.E. is a masterpiece. You can literally play the demo for hours and annihilate your opponent till he has not a single unit left on the map. I am sure that more hardcore gamers will get a kick out of the higher difficulty levels. And trust me, the more that you play the better it gets. The second time I played through the game felt like taking candy from a baby. And I laughed as the computer sent wave after wave of tanks. Only to have them all ambushed in a forest by a relatively small group of infantry. Thanks Ubisoft, I think ill go play again.
