PlayStation Plus: Almost 2 Months In, Was It Worth It?

Share And Comment

The short answer to this question is YES. Since its launch June 29th, PlayStation Plus has delivered on everything it promised and more. PlayStation Plus members have gotten early access to a couple of demos, discounts on more things than I can count, and a decent amount of completely free themes, avatars and other things.

When PlayStation Plus launched people wondered would it be worth it or would it just be a waste of money but at this point I gotta tell I think that right now PS Plus subscribers are up in this equation, especially the people that signed up early and got the extra 3 months on their one year subscription. For those people they paid $50 and are getting 15 months of PS Plus access, that works out to three bucks and some change a month. For what they have gotten so far, it has more than paid for itself already. Since you get access to versions of Qore with your PS Plus subscription I have actually watched it and its not bad. I would have never paid for Qore by itself, but as it stands I like it. Sony has done a great job of providing value to PlayStation Plus subscribers early and that pretty much assures that most of them will be subscribers for years to come. I would find it hard to believe that any PS Plus owner could believe that they haven’t gotten their money’s worth to this point. Now things could change and the quality and frequency of content that is made available could decline but I don’t see that happening.

I think that PlayStation owners haven’t even seen the coolest stuff yet. So if you were to ask me do I think that the $50 bucks I paid for was worth it, I would say sure it was  but then again ask me again in oh 13 months. What about my fellow PlayStation Plus owners, is it worth it?
