2K Games and Gearbox Software have announced that Borderlands is set to make another return to Pandora with a brand-new forth DLC called Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution. The new add-on will be available for download from PSN this September for £6.29.

In Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution players will have to suppress a deadly Claptrap revolution in either single player or co-op. Players will find themselves thrust into the middle of a deadly civil war between the Hyperion Corporation’s well-armed armadas and the ever-amassing army of homicidal Claptraps led by one of the most eagerly awaited characters in the franchise’s history, the cunning Ninja Assassin. Players must put aside the Hyperion Corporation’s repeated attempts to wipe them from existence and join forces to help beat down the mechanical uprising and defeat the Claptrap known only as Ninja Assassin.

Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution offers more than 20 new missions to loot and tons of fresh enemies to blast through, including original boss battles, waves of homicidal Claptraps, well-armed Hyperion soldiers, and local creatures that have been warped by the Claptraps. There are an additional 10 skill points to earn for a total of 71 available skill tree points, and three more backpack slots for additional weapons and many more hours of enjoyment. In my opinion any excuse to go back and play Borderlands is worth investing in and the DLC so far has all been excellent. This one sounds like another brilliant addition to the franchise.
