Little League World Series 2010 marks the first time that this franchise has come to consoles. In Little League World Series 2010 you will have the opportunity experience everything that these Little Leaguers get to while not having to worry too much about very complex controls. I definitely want to say this is definitely a targeted title, it’s a casual title and definitely something for the younger crowd, thus the E rating. While this game won’t satisfy hardcore baseball fans at all, kids should definitely love it.
The game has features several new game modes including an all new Season Mode where you will be able to complete for the top spot in the standings while playing through a 20 game season with your favorite team. But that’s not why you want to play this game right, no, your playing for the game’s namesake and through the game’s Career Mode you will get your chance. In Career mode you will get the chance to go from dominating your local league, to barreling through the regional tournament and eventually reaching the Little League World Series.
The game does feature refined graphics, though keep in mind that this is relation to the graphics on the previous platforms, so next gen gamers won’t be impressed. LLWS 2010 also features tons of customization that will allow you to tailor your teams and star players to get the best out of them. The game provides the chance to activate some cool power-ups that you get points for by playing solid baseball. Once you fill your meter, then depending on whether your on offense or defense you will get to activate power-ups that allow you to do such things as increasing your hitting power or your fielding prowess.
The game also features a decent amount of online capability that allows you to track your stats, monitor the leaderboards and check out your trophies.
The final call on Little League World Series 2010 is that it is exactly what it was designed to be, something fun for the kids and it will definitely do that. As I have said, while hardcore gamers won’t like really like this game, the truth is that it’s not for us. This game definitely makes the kid approved list, so parents if you are reading this, you can feel free to pick this up without any worry if its appropriate. So if you are looking for a baseball game for the kiddies that won’t be too complicated for them while letting them have some fun then Little League World Series 2010 is it.
