The long awaited sequel to arguably one of 2009’s best games has finally pulled on the cape and cowl, and is heading out late next year. Batman: Arkham City is slated to hit Wii, Ps3, and Xbox 360 in the fall of 2011, bringing you back into the mix of crazed villains from the DC Comics that became the staple of the icon’s career. Will there be danger, love, crazed mutants? Only time and patience will tell.
According to the scattered teaser domain names, and the official website, Arkham City places Bats in “Arkham City:” a “heavily fortified” mini-city smack-dap in the middle of Gotham. Nothing yet has been given on the game, yet Game Informer was kind enough to give me the skinny that Catwoman, Batman’s on-again/off-again love interest and villain will play a pivotal role in the game. Potential cooperative play? Only time will tell.
