My opinion is that comic books and video games should not mix. In theory, they blend together seamlessly. But in practice, not so much.
The truth is this, we are not hard wired to do two things at once. And that is not up for discussion. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. The only time gaming and comic books should mix, is when someone reads me a comic book while I play PS3. That is final.
I believe in doing things correctly and that means a lot of things, but mostly it means focusing on what you are good at. And when you try to do two things at once, for example comic books and video games, you end up with a watered down version of both.
The people who win when comic books and video games combine, are the people involved. They get to go to the press conference, they get paid. The fans get screwed. One way or another.
The truth is there are benefits but at what cost?
