IO Interactive has now confirmed that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will now release one week earlier than previously scheduled on August 17th 2010 in North America and August 20th throughout Europe on the PS3.

Experience 48 hours of hell with two of gaming’s most notorious criminals in Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. Kane and Lynch face the consequences when a simple job gone wrong sets off a desperate and frantic struggle to escape the entire Shanghai underworld.

If you pre-order your copy of the game now you will be able to choose from a variety of exclusive items which include the Radio Tower multi-player map, seven new multi-player weapons, eight Chinese costume masks to hide your criminal identity, custom comics, and Fragile Alliance guide. Pre-orders are available at GameStop, Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy.

After the first outing with Kane & Lynch I can’t say I’m too excited about the sequel. To be fair I haven’t really looked to it that much, I’ve already been put off. I’ll rent it for the trophies but I won’t be buying the game. Since I don’t know much about the sequel what do you guys think… should I give Kane & Lynch another chance?  Do you think the sequel shows a significant improvement over the disaster that was the first game?

I live in the UK, I am 23 years old and have been a gamer all my life. I studied psychology, sociology, english literature and IT in college and went on to study psychology and IT in university. Aside from gaming my greatest passions are rock music, reading and writing. In my spare time I am a novelist, I write a mixture of science fiction and fantasy, and I also keep an autobiographical account of my life although at present I am unpublished.
