If you ever had the urge to drift your way to work or while you were in the subway, Disney Interactive is giving you the opportunity. When it’s big brother turned heads on consoles, PC and iPhones in May, Split/Second was one of those games that made you either like it, or hate it. Even with the Best Racing Game Award from E3 in 2009, the concept of building up your “power play” meter to cause bombastic explosions and stunts on the tracks to slow down your opponents was just one of the unique ways the game brought their racing game to the forefront.
So upping the ante on their Jason Statham-esq Death Race gameplay, the portable version will continue the console’s dynamic to create new routes in the track with action-packed explosions and pinpoint accuracy. The PSP will however include new challenges and maps, along with 4-player local multiplayer. So if you were having a hard time trying to find something to fill your list for the St. Nick, at least now you have a stocking-stuffer.
