After the official drop of PlayStation Plus, everyone has a question or two: We’re here to answer those questions Giving you a chance to choose between a three-month program for $17.99 or a twelve-month program (with three months added on for free) for $49.99 PS Plus owners will get access to a list of bonuses and investments. You can pay for your account via PlayStation points or by credit card, as long as you pay it all off in one lump sum.

Now, as for what you get out of it: that’s the kicker. Just by signing up, owners of PS Plus will get WipeOut HD, along with PSN games Fieldrunners, Age of Zombies and Rally Cross. You will also get the monthly episodes of Qore and the full game trial of inFAMOUS. All of this does nothing to the normal account or what the normal account offers: it instead enhances what you earn and what you can reap.

For example, when it comes to those pesky system and game updates, you as a PS Plus subscriber will be able to set up select times (day or night) to wake up your PS3 from sleep, letting it download, then going right back off. You will also be able to do this with game demos, setting up which game you want to download and then let it go all without you hovering.

Speaking of game trials, a new feature coming to PSN is the “try it before you buy it” feature. Essentially, what will happen is a full game will show up on the PSN, giving you the option if you are a standard user to buy it or leave it alone. However, if you’re a PS Plus subscriber, you will be able to download the entire game, and play it for a full hour until it is turned off. From there, you will have the option to purchase it and continue to play from where you left off or erase it off your hard drive and find something else. It could revolutionize both online gameplay and game demos, if it catches on.

Along with full game downloads, there will also be monthly PSN games to access for free, available for the month until the next month’s replaces it. As long as you’re a PS Plus member, you will have access to the games you download, and will be able to play them at your leisure. Exclusive avatars, themes, and game add-ons are also on the list for your enjoyment for free, wrapping it up with a discount on standard content ranging anywhere between 20% to 50%.

Overall, the deals being offered are hitting near a $50 to $100’s worth of savings and deals, all for the benefit of the player. The best part is: this is just the beginning. With the promise that more content and enjoyment will show up as PS Plus matures, this is sure to keep people interested and entertained.
