Ten Years Of Voodoo For PlayStation

Sony has teamed up with Voodoo Experience for its tenth consecutive year to provide concert-goers with exciting PlayStation experiences both onstage and off from Friday, October 30th through Sunday, November 1st in New Orleans’ City Park. Voodoo attendees will have access to several PlayStation areas, such as PlayStation® Central which offers exclusive access to much anticipated games, prior to their official release. There will also be a Buzz!™ Quiz World Stage hosting trivia challenges, as well as a Gran Turismo® PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) faceoff with Grammy Award-winning hard rock band, Wolfmother’s bassist and a live performance from Take the Stage with Rock Band® 2 winners, Ninjas in Disguise.

PlayStation fans attending the event can drop by PlayStation Central, where they have the opportunity to play unreleased PlayStation®3 (PS3™) exclusives like God of War® III, Buzz! Quiz World and Hustle Kings™ as well as the all new Ratchet & Clank® Future: A Crack in Time. Additionally, they will have the chance to test their driving skills through the Gran Turismo PSP challenge. Fastest lappers will win VIP passes or stage viewing passes to upgrade their Voodoo experience and on Saturday, a few lucky festival goers will be able to compete to meet Wolfmother and challenge bassist, Ian Peres in the ultimate Gran Turismo® challenge.

Separate from PlayStation Central is the Buzz! Quiz World stage. Here fans can complete against one another with custom quizzes created in the spirit of New Orleans, Voodoo and Halloween for a host of prizes. Two lucky winners from SCEA’s Get Buzzed! at Voodoo sweepstakes will also be flown toNew Orleans to compete on the Buzz! Quiz World stage against a Voodoo musician in a quiz world showdown of rock and roll proportions.

On Friday at 10:45 am, Ninjas in Disguise, winners of the summer-long Rock Band 2 competition will take the stage to perform in front of the Voodoo audience. The band’s long road to New Orleans included beating out over 3,183 entries from other aspiring musicians in a 17 week nationwide contest to earn top honors as well as the chance to perform Rock Band 2 in front of a live audience at Voodoo Experience.
