PS3 System Update 2.42 Doesn’t Brick Your PS3 and Madden 09 and FaceBreaker Demos Now Available!!

So that’s right folks you can have no fear because the newest update for your PS3 won’t brick it like 2.40 did for some of you, so hurry up and download it. Unfortunately, it isn’t Life with Playstation as many of us have been waiting for nor does it add anything really cool to the XMB. The official word from Sony is that it improves playback of some PS3 and PS format software. I know not the big splash that in game XMB was but hey little improvements works too.

In the PSN store this morning, what did I see but some new demos. There are now for your playing pleasure demos for Madden 2009, FaceBreaker, a Mike Tyson Punch-Out kind of game if you remember it, and the Lego Indiana Jones demo (all of which I am downloading as I write). There are all sorts of new themes and wallpapers too so go and check them out for yourself.
